Tennis Rules
- Local Guests are permitted on weekdays only. A person may be a local guest no more than twice in a season. Exception; Club-sponsored tournaments are not counted towards the guest usage limit.
- Out-of-town guests, those having their principal residence outside of Warren, Washington, Essex, Saratoga, Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, and Hamilton counties may play with a member up to two times per month.
- All tennis guests must be registered with the Tennis Pro immediately upon arrival and sign the register in the Hut.
- Members will be charged a $10 guest fee for each invited guest.
- Courts will be open daylight to dark 7 days a week.
- Weekends, Holidays and Weekdays after 4:30pm, players 16 years of age and older have priority for the use of courts.
- Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children and their guests on the Club premises and ensure that Club rules and regulations are observed.
- There is a 60 minute play limit for singles and a 90 minute play limit for doubles. Singles should convert to doubles when demand for courts is great. Singles must convert to doubles on weekends and holidays between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- All players should wear proper tennis attire and must wear flat-soled tennis shoes.
- Courts should be swept and lined after use.
- After a rain, play is prohibited until the Pro declares the courts playable. In the absence of a Pro, play may only take place once indentations are no longer made by walking on the court surface.
- Reservations for courts shall be published by the Tennis Committee from year to year.
